Understanding how we experience the world.
My research focuses on how human cognition, perception and behaviour can be studied through rigorous experimental methods, quantitative analysis and carefully designed research protocols.
I work at the intersection of cognitive psychology, neuroscience, education, human-computer interaction, psychophysiology, statistics and philosophy of mind. Virtual reality is one of the experimental technologies I use to investigate these questions, alongside more conventional behavioural and psychophysiological approaches.
My academic work combines experimental design, statistical modelling, nonlinear and multivariate analysis, psychometrics, data quality and reproducible research workflows, as well as the development of technological tools for collecting and analysing human behavioural data.
